Singer and YouTuber JoJo Siwa wrote a post on Instagram celebrating a year since she publicly announced that she is pansexual. She said she has “felt more love than ever” since choosing to share the news.
Siwa also addressed a couple of common questions she receives as a prominent queer celebrity, including if she is worried about telling her young fans that she is gay. “Truthfully I feel like I was put on this earth to be a role model for kids,” Siwa wrote, “and letting all the kids of the world know that loving everyone for who they are no matter what is something that I will always believe in or always share.”
Siwa credited her then-girlfriend, Kylie Prew, for giving her the courage to come out at the time. She officially came out by posting a photo showing a shirt that read “Best. Gay. Cousin. Ever,” but she had also hinted at having a girlfriend prior to that in TikTok appearances and other statements.
