Camille Vasquez, who represented Johnny Depp in his high-profile defamation case against Amber Heard, has firmly denied any romantic involvement with the actor.

“Let me just go on the record here. Never dated Johnny Depp, never would date Johnny Depp,” Vasquez told Extra, emphasizing that while she finds Depp to be a “lovely person,” he is simply “not [her] type.”

Vasquez revealed she first learned about the dating rumors from her parents, who quickly dismissed them. “They already knew definitively that I wasn’t,” she noted.

Despite representing Depp in a major trial, Vasquez admitted she’s barely familiar with his work, saying, “Admittedly, never seen him, really, in any film. Maybe Chocolat?”

When asked if she had seen Pirates of the Caribbean, Vasquez responded, “Never to this day. I have not seen him in Pirates.”

She then recalled being struck by his unique perspective during their first meeting. “After maybe 30, 40 minutes of speaking with him, I remember having an out-of-body experience… he views the world so differently than I do.”

Vasquez confirmed she remains in contact with Depp, mentioning, “We are in a group text with the team.”

In a major legal victory in Jun 2023, Heard was ordered to pay Depp $1 million for defaming him by suggesting in a newspaper article that he had abused her.

Lawyer romance rumors seem to be hounding Depp. In September 2022, it was reported that Depp was romantically involved with Joelle Rich, a lawyer who represented him during his 2020 U.K. libel case against The Sun.
