John Travolta And Abigail Spencer Film Scene For ‘The Forger’ In Boston Park

John Travolta and actress Abigail Spencer were spotted on set of their new film The Forger in Boston’s Commonwealth Avenue Mall.

While in Boston, Travolta has been the recipient of enthusiastic attention from fans, some of whom boarded an elevator at the Liberty Hotel to get up close and personal with the actor, reported the Boston Globe. Travolta has also been spotted dining at local restaurants, such as the Empire Asian Restaurant with his wife Kelly Preston.

Local actor Sean Malone, who got his start in Ben Affleck’s Gone Baby Gone as Skinny Ray Likanski and went on to get a part in The Fighter, will be putting his authentic Boston accent to good use again in The Forger. Malone has nothing but good things to say about his new costar Travolta.

“He’s just a great guy,” Malone, who plays bad guy Finn in the movie, told the Boston Herald. “He’s really friendly and nice to everyone. The other day I asked him to sign a stack of pictures for my family and he was like, ‘No problem, Sean!’”

In addition to Commonwealth Avenue Mall, Travolta has shot scenes for The Forger at Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts, South Station, the Wilbur Theatre and Mr. Dooley’s Irish Pub. In the movie, Travolta plays an art prodigy-turned-criminal, who makes a deal with the mob to get himself out of jail so he see his cancer-battling son – in return for a high-scale heist.
