The Del Mar Fairgrounds of San Diego have introduced a brand-new way to hold socially distanced live events, as inspired by classic drive-in theaters — Concerts in Your Car. The website for the upcoming series of events boasts that it is the best that socially distanced entertainment has to offer.
“Each week top tier talent performs on our outdoor, in-the-round stage, giving us all an opportunity to sing, dance and laugh again,” the online event description reads.
Pictured above is the first of the series of concerts, a performance by the Beach Boys with special guests John Stamos and Mark McGrath. Also set to perform in the next month are Kaskade, Fitz & The Tantrums, Aaron Lewis and Sully Erna, Sublime with Rome, Randy Houser, Bush and Yächtley Crëw. No drive-in would be complete without some movies, so there will also be screenings of films The Nightmare Before Christmas, Halloween, and Rocky Horror Picture Show on and before October 31.
