John Stamos DUI
Stamos was pulled over in Beverly Hills after police received several calls about a possible drunken driver, Sgt. David Armour told CNN. After Stamos showed officers his driver’s license, they had him transported to a nearby hospital due to the perceived severity of his intoxication.
At the hospital, it was determined that Stamos had been driving under the influence, which led police to cite the 51-year-old actor for a DUI.
Stamos was released from the hospital early Saturday.
Though Stamos hasn’t released a formal statement on the incident, he did take to Twitter to reassure fans that he is okay.
“Thanks to everyone for their love & support,” Stamos wrote. “I’m home & well. Very appreciative of the [Beverly Hills Police] & Cedars (Sinai Hospital] for their care.”
Stamos is set to star in the forthcoming Fox series Grandfathered and will appear in the Netflix Full House spinoff, Fuller House.
