John Mayer has announced a solo tour across North America for spring 2023. It will largely feature the artist playing only his acoustic guitar.

The 19-date tour begins on March 11 at Newark’s Prudential Center and includes performances in Boston, New York, Toronto, Atlanta, Chicago and Los Angeles.

Lizzy McAlpine and Alec Benjamin will support Mayer on the tour as well as a yet-to-be-announced special guest.

Mayer took to Instagram to tell fans about the tour.

“I began my career on stage with only a guitar and a microphone. A lot has changed since then, but I knew one day I’d feel it in my heart to do an entire run of shows on my own again, just like those early days,” he wrote.

He later added that he’ll play old and new tracks as well as songs that have yet to be released.
