John Goodman showed off his big weight loss at Thursday night’s premiere of his new film Trumbo at the BFI London Film Festival.
Goodman was pictured walking the red carpet at the premiere of Trumbo displaying a dramatically slimmer physique. The Roseanne star has been open about his battles with his weight in the past.
Goodman explained that he was told in 2005 to lose weight by doctors, adding that it was harder than quitting smoking. Goodman admitted to David Letterman that his weight was at one point 400 pounds.
In November 2014 Goodman was still seen with a larger figure, but this year he seems to have been putting in the work.
Trumbo is the story of Dalton Trumbo, the Oscar-winning writer of Spartacus who lost his livelihood when he was accused of being a communist.
Bryan Cranston plays the lead role, with Goodman appearing alongside Helen Mirren, Diane Lane and Elle Fanning.
Trumbo is set to hit theaters on Nov. 6. Check out the trailer below:
