Who Is Shay Shariatzadeh, John Cena’s New Wife?

John Cena is officially a married man!

The actor and former WWE star tied the knot with his girlfriend Shay Shariatzadeh in a quiet wedding ceremony held in Tampa, Florida.

In general, Cena has kept his love life out of the spotlight. He told Access in January, “If you choose to do something, set up a structure that will protect it. I have a goal for sharing certain things with everybody and keeping certain things for me.”

Cena did, however, take to Twitter on Oct. 9 to post a heartwarming message about love, writing, “Love involves constant effort. When you are truly ready to let love in and give to love all it needs to flourish, I feel there is no greater more rewarding connection.”

Shay Shariatzadeh is a 31-year-old electrical engineer. She was born in Iran and attended the University of British Columbia, where she received a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering in 2013. She now works for Sonatype as a product manager. She met Cena in early 2019, while the actor was filming Playing With Fire in Canada. The pair were photographed together in Vancouver in March 2019 and later walked the red carpet together for the premiere of Playing With Fire in October 2019.

Cena was previously married to Elizabeth Huberdeau from 2009 to 2012 and was later engaged to former WWE star Nikki Bella until their split in 2018.
