Joe Jonas & Sophie Turner Agree To Temporarily Keep Their Children In New York City After Turner Claimed They’d Been ‘Abducted’
According to an interim consent order filed on Monday, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have agreed to temporarily keep their two young daughters in New York City.
The decision was reached following a lawsuit filed by Turner last week, alleging that Jonas “wrongfully retained” their daughters, and also accusing him of withholding their children’s passports to keep her from bringing them to England. Turner also claimed that, before filing for divorce, the couple had agreed to make England their “forever home.”
A representative for Jonas denied these allegations in a statement.
“Joe is seeking shared parenting with the kids so that they are raised by both their mother and father, and is of course also okay with the kids being raised both in the U.S. and the U.K.,” the statement said. “This is an unfortunate legal disagreement about a marriage that is sadly ending.”
Jonas filed for divorce on September 5, his petition stating that “the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken.” Details about the divorce have not been disclosed.
