The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice previously stated that she would accompany her husband Joe to Italy should he be deported. Nevertheless, RadarOnline reports that Teresa skipped her husband’s recent deportation hearing, which did not end with an outcome for him to be happy about.
The 46-year-old husband and father of four is currently in federal prison, serving out a three-year sentence on fraud charges. Giudice previously denied rumors that he would be deported before March 2019, when his sentence ends. ICE, however, insisted Giudice is “in deportation proceedings while he’s in custody. ICE has lodged a detainer, and he is in removal proceedings.

Unable to attend himself, his lawyer, James J. Leonard Jr., appeared instead to his Wednesday morning Pennsylvania court hearing earlier today. Through a teleconference, the attorney asked the judge to halt the deportation proceedings. Homeland Security argues that the reality star did not present sufficient proof, meaning he has no right to stay with his family in the United States.
