19 Kids and Counting star Jinger Duggar and her soccer player boyfriend Jeremy Vuolo have announced their engagement.
Duggar, 22, and Vuolo, 28, who revealed that they had started courting earlier this year, are already engaged to be married.
“So excited to share this news that we are now engaged, Duggar and Vuolo told People magazine in a joint statement. “From both of us, thank you all for the countless well-wishes we’ve received during the courtship.”
The pair added, “We are so excited to take this next step in spending our lives together. We are so grateful for how the Lord has brought us together. It has been an incredible journey so far and we are excited about serving Christ together in the coming days.”
While it’s only been a month since Duggar and Vuolo went public with their courtship, they’ve known each other for more than a year. Vuolo met Jinger through her sister Jessa Seewald and Ben Seewald, and eventually went on a missions trip with her. During the missions trip, Jinger started to see the possibility of a courtship, and her father, Jim Bob Duggar, soon approved of it.
Duggar and Vuolo’s relationship will be featured in the new season of Counting On, which will return to TLC Aug. 23 at 8/7c.
