Jimmy Kimmel
Jimmy Kimmel announced on Good Morning America on Monday that he would be this year’s host for the Emmy Awards.
This will be the second time that the late night comedian will be taking over the hosting reigns. The show is rotated between ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox each year.
He will follow Andy Samberg, who hosted the show in 2015, Seth Meyers hosted in 2014, and Neil Patrick Harris hosted in 2013.
Kimmel also tweeted out the announcement. He tweeted, “I am hosting the #Emmys on Sunday Sept 18. Until then, have a great summer.”
