Jim Bob & Michelle Duggar Interview
The Duggars announced on their website over the weekend that they would be doing a sit-down interview with Fox News host Megyn Kelly.
“Next week we will sit down with Megyn Kelly on Fox News to share our hearts with you about the pain that we walked through as a family twelve years ago, the tears we all shed and the forgiveness that was given,” the statement read. “We appreciate the outpouring of love and prayers for our family at this time.”
Earlier this month, reports revealed that Josh Duggar, 27, had allegedly molested several young girls while he was a teenager. The incidents reportedly started in 2002 and included touching the girls’ genitals, usually while they were sleeping, reported TMZ. Jim Bob and Michelle apparently brought Josh to meet with church elders, who eventually sent him to a treatment program.
“Back 12 years ago our family went through one of the most difficult times of our lives. When Josh was a young teenager, he made some very bad mistakes and we were shocked,” the Duggars said in an earlier statement. “We had tried to teach him right from wrong. That dark and difficult time caused us to seek God like never before. Even though we would never choose to go through something so terrible, each one of our family members drew closer to God.”
A segment from the Duggars’ one-hour interview will air on The Kelly File Wednesday, June 3rd at 9/8c. The full special will air on Friday, June 5th at 9/8c.
