Country crooner Jewel, 36, and rodeo star husband, Ty Murray, are proud parents-to-be.
The singer, who recently released a collection of children's songs, Lullaby, and is currently working on a second children's album, found out she was pregnant on the first day of her job co-hosting Bravo's upcoming show, Going Platinum. "I took a pregnancy test and it was positive," she told People. "It was so hard to keep it a secret. I was worried I'd start throwing up on set and everyone would be like, 'Oh, she's pregnant.'"
The couple has been trying to conceive since they got married in the Bahamas in 2008. "I have always been a workaholic, so I had to learn how to slow down and take care of myself in a different way" said Jewel, who is in her second trimester. Now she is channeling that energy into converting one of the bedrooms on the couple's Texas ranch into a nursery. "I'm trying to be in the moment and really enjoy my pregnancy," she said. "I feel really lucky." —KIMBERLY STEELE
