Jessa Duggar, 21, star of 19 Kids and Counting is engaged to Ben Seewald, 19, who has been courting her for almost a year.
Jessa will be Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s second daughter to walk down the aisle. Her older sister, Jill Duggar, married Derick Dillard in June. Similar to Jill and Derick, now that Jessa and Ben are officially engaged, the young couple are allowed to move forward with their physical relationship and hold hands – they are saving their first kiss for their wedding day.
“We are so blessed to be engaged! God has written an amazing story through our courtship, and another chapter has just begun! We are thrilled to see what the future holds – especially the wedding bells!” the couple said in a statement.
The duo have been going on chaperoned dates for 11 months, and both have proclaimed their love for each other on Instagram, posting sweet photos of their dates and mission trips – both are devout Christians.
“So in love with this man,” Jessa captioned this photo, taken during a double date with her parents.
The young couple both come from big families – Jessa is one of 19 children, while Ben is the oldest of seven – and Jessa has said that they both want a big family.
“We are talking about our goals and even just like future, with family, we both talked about adoptions. We are open to having children and both want to adopt, too,” Jessa told People.
