Jersey Shore star Angelina Pivarnick has been charged with obstructing the administration of law, simple assault, criminal mischief and resisting arrest after an incident at her New Jersey home.

Police did not reveal the nature of the incident due to confidentiality reasons. However, Pivarnick’s attorney, James Leonard, said that an unfavorable reaction to an over-the-counter medication incited the incident.

According to the police report, Pivarnick “purposely” ran from officers into her house, attempting to lock the door and “prevent” officers from responding to the scene. Officers also said she was unwilling to follow their instructions when taken into custody. The unnamed victim, according to the police, was injured because of Pivarnick “striking him with her hands/fists causing scratches, redness and complaint of pain to the victim’s hands.”

Pivarnick’s fiancé, model Vinny Tortorella, was present at Pivarnick’s New Jersey residence when the police arrived; however, it is unclear whether or not he is the victim of the alleged assault.

The couple has had legal troubles in the past. In November 2023, an alleged instance of domestic violence occurred in Pivarnick’s New Jersey home, which resulted in Pivarnick calling the police on her fiancé. However, Pivarnick decided against filing charges.

Regarding the November 2023 incident, Tortorella’s attorney, Elizabeth Rozin-Golinder, said in a statement: “My client and Ms. Pivarnick are still engaged and are still residing together. Mr. Tortorella denies any act of impropriety that would warrant police involvement and denies any act of domestic violence occurred.”

Besides her fiancé, Pivarnick has also had other run-ins with the law. In 2019, she caused a stir when she accused her co-star Jenni “JWoww” Farley’s boyfriend of groping her. At the time, she was engaged to her then-fiancé, Chris Larangeira.
