Jeremy Renner Returns To Red Carpet After Snow Plow Accident For ‘Rennervations’ Premiere

Tuesday night marked Jeremy Renner‘s remarkable return to the red carpet, his first appearance on one since his near-fatal snow plow accident.

What once may have seemed uncertain due to the severity of his injury, The “Avengers” actor was present at the Westwood Regency Village Theatre in Los Angeles to support the release of “Rennervations,” his new Disney+ reality series about renovating used vehicles communities worldwide that lack sufficient resources and support.

Initially, Renner was able to traverse the red carpet with help from a cane. However, he switched to the assistance of a motorized scooter to rest his legs during press interviews.

Renner stated that he was determined to ensure the premiere of “Rennervations” stayed on course, despite his continued recovery from his injuries.

On New Year’s Day, Renner was involved in a life-threatening Sno-Cat accident near his Nevada home. The vehicle crushed his leg as he was attempting to hop back in and stop the 14,000-pound machine from hitting his nephew.

Among those in attendance for the premiere – Bob Iger, Disney CEO, made an appearance to show support for Renner. The pair were seen talking on the blue carpet and taking pictures for the press.

After the premiere screening, Renner and other members of the show participated in a Q&A session hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. The audience in the theater gave him a standing ovation as rode his scooter to his chair.

During the Q&A, he became emotional and expressed gratitude towards his friends and family for their immense support in his recovery journey. He also acknowledged the significance of the show for his mental and physical well-being.

On Monday, The Hawkeye star sat down with Kimmel on his late-night show, sharing insights into the scary assumptions of the first responders who took care of him. Later in his recovery, he learned that one of the people who took care of him had a harrowing reaction to his condition.

“The guy who (drained my lung so I wouldn’t suffocate) called my other firefighter friend, saying `hey, we did the best we could.´ Saying, I’m dead,” Renner explained on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

In just three months, Renner has made significant progress in his rehabilitation. In late March, he posted a video to his Twitter of himself, briskly walking on a treadmill.
