Jenny McCarthy debuted bright pink hair on Today on Tuesday, calling it a “midlife crisis.”
McCarthy drastically changed up her look this week, dying her hair bright fuchsia.
McCarthy dished about her new hair color, saying that it was part of her new “midlife crisis.”
McCarthy isn’t giving away too much on the reason behind her makeover, teasing in an interview that it will all be revealed on the second season of her reality show, Donnie Loves Jennie, which premieres Wednesday. “I thought I got past my midlife crisis with tattoos and then I woke up this morning and said, ‘You know what, I’m feeling a little bit frisky,’ and thought I’d go pink,” she told ET.
McCarthy worked all night with her hairstylist Julius Michael on the color. Michael revealed to Us Weekly that he received a text saying, “Jenny wants to go pink” at 1 a.m. in the morning. Michael custom designed the color for McCarthy and worked tirelessly to have it ready for the comedian by 5 a.m. on Tuesday. Michael accurately dubbed the color “Sexy Bitch Pink.”
“It’s a little femme fatale, and I’m digging it! You know, if no one’s going to hire me to play one, I might as well just be one,” McCarthy said of her new look.
As for McCarthy’s other half, her husband Donnie Wahlberg, he loves his wife’s new do, comparing her to Frenchie from the musical Grease on Twitter.
