While many were celebrating July 4, Jennifer Lopez took to Twitter to post a video of herself with Lin-Manuel Miranda working in the studio.
The two collaborated to record a song for the 49 victims of the recent Orlando, Florida shooting at Pulse nightclub.
The Pulse shootings were a huge blow to the Hispanic community – 95% of the victims were of Latin origin. All proceeds from the song “Love Make The World Go Round,” will go the the charity Proyecto Somos Orlando, which was set up by the Hispanic community in Orlando to address mental health needs of the victims.
The song currently does not have a release date but will be available on iTunes.
Miranda will also be part of a collective of Broadway musical actors featuring on a cover of Bacharach & David’s 1965 song “What The World Needs Now Is Love,” he announced yesterday.
