Jennifer Lawrence Visits Children’s Hospital For Sixth Year
Jennifer Lawrence has a very wholesome Christmas tradition. Each year, she gives back in her hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, to the people who need it the most. The 28-year-old Oscar winner attempts to raise spirits by visiting patients and families in Norton Children’s Hospital. This year she made Christmas eve special for some patients and certainly brightened spirits of the staff.
This appears to be the sixth year that Lawrence has done the tradition of visiting during the holiday season. Two years ago, in 2016, the Hunger Games star even donated $2 million to establish the Jennifer Lawrence Intensive Care Unit to provide support for children with heart conditions. “My family and I have met so many wonderful children on our visits to the hospital. Their strength and courage is inspiring,” Lawrence said in a statement at the time.
During her time at the hospital, Lawrence spent most of her time on the cancer floor and in the pediatric intensive care unit.
