Larocca, 40, admitted in court on Wednesday that she had stolen between $500 and $75,000 from Piscopo between 2010 and 2014, reported the Daily Record. The Hackettstown, N.J., native pleaded guilty to one count of theft by unlawful taking. She also agreed to pay $170,805 in restitution to Piscopo with her husband. Though Larocca pleaded guilty to taking less than the restitution, her plea deal specifies that is the amount that she and her husband will pay.
Larocca’s deal also stipulates that she will be sentenced to three years probation on April 1, and that she will not serve any jail time.
At her court appearance, Larocca confirmed that her husband Frank Larocca had worked for Piscopo, paying the comedian’s bills and serving as his bookkeeper. During the time in which Frank Larocca was employed by Piscopo, Jennifer Larocca confessed to writing herself checks from Piscopo’s account.
Frank Larocca is also charged with theft in the case. He is due in court Feb. 17.
Piscopo is best known for starring on Saturday Night Live in the 80s alongside Eddie Murphy. Following his stint on the comedy sketch show, he went on to star in his own HBO comedy show.
