Actress Jennifer Jason Leigh has filed for divorce from writer-director Noah Baumbach, citing irreconcilable differences.
Baumbach is best known for films The Squid and the Whale and Greenberg, and also co-wrote Fantastic Mr. Fox. Leigh, who co-starred in two of Baumbach's films, rose to fame in 1992 for her role in Single White Female. The two met in 2001, when Leigh was working on the Broadway show Proof, and they married in 2005. Just after the wedding, Baumbach told People, "I expect to be with [Leigh] for the rest of my life."
The couple had their first child together just 8 months ago, a boy named Rohmer. Leigh is requesting sole custody with visitation rights for Baumbach. She was most recently seen guest-starring on Weeds. –AMY LEE
