Jennifer Hudson Buys Assistant Walter Williams House For Christmas

Jennifer Hudson gifted her assistant Walter Williams with a house for Christmas, causing her friend and employee to leap on top of the singer in joy.

“My assistant Walter's reaction when he found out I was buying him a house for Christmas!” Hudson captioned a video of the event on Instagram.

In the video, Hudson walks over to Williams and hands him the deed to his new home. Upon realizing what he’d just been given, the assistant screams, drops it, then rushes over to Hudson on the couch and tackles her. Then, while sitting next to her on the couch, Hudson raises his hands over his head and continues to freak out at the generosity of the Dreamgirls actress.

On Monday, Hudson shared a picture of Williams aboard an airplane with a large grin across his face, captioning it, “Awwww He ain’t stop smiling yet yal!”

Hudson and Williams' relationship goes way back – even further back that her career-launching stint on American Idol. The two actually grew up together in their hometown of Chicago in the city’s Englewood neighborhood.
