Jennifer Garner Confirms Ben Affleck’s Affair With Nanny Christine Ouzounian, But Not As Cause Of Divorce

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were married for a nearly a decade when they announced their split last June. The rumor that the cause of the break up was an affair with the 28-year-old nanny has been refuted, kind of.

According to Garner, she and Affleck had already been apart for several months when the news broke that Affleck had been enjoying a fling with Christine Ouzounian.

“We had been separated for months before I even heard about the nanny. She had nothing to do with our decision to divorce. She was not a part of the equation,” Garner told Vanity Fair.

Garner’s main concern about the scandal was about how it would effect her kids.

“It’s not great for your kids for [a nanny] to disappear from their lives,” she said. “I have had to have conversations about the meaning of the ‘scandal.'”

In fact, her focus in life right now is her children.

“I cannot let anger or hurt be my engine,” said Garner. “I need to move with the big picture always on my mind, and the kids first and foremost.”

Garner and Affleck have three children, Violet, Seraphina and Samuel.

Affleck has been rumored to have cheated on his past girlfriends. He and Jennifer Lopez were set to wed after their 18-month relationship but just 4 days before the wedding, it was rumored that Ben was spotted spending time with stripper Tammy Morris and other dancers at Brandi’s Ecotic Nightclub in Vancouver. Affleck had denied the allegations.

Before that Affleck had a three-year relationship with Gwyneth Paltrow right after her engagement to Brad Pitt ended. When they broke things off Gwyneth sad that Ben “was not in a good place in his life to have a girlfriend.” And after the Bennifer news broke Paltrow explained that “Ben makes life tough for himself.”

His good friend Matt Damon has been quoted saying that Affleck is just misunderstood. That is one relationship that will never end.
