Jennifer Aniston turned out at the special screening of Just Before I Go in Los Angeles Monday night to support her good friend and Friends costar Courtney Cox, who directed the film.

Aniston and Cox goofed around at the Just Before I Go screening, posing for photographers in front of the film’s poster. For the event, Cougar Town star Cox wore a plunging red suede dress with leather detailing that looked edgy yet sophisticated with her new shorter ‘do. As for Aniston, she kept things simple in a black tuxedo dress.

Cox and Aniston also hung out with Jennifer Meyer and Laura Dern at the screening event.

Earlier in the night, Cox had walked the red carpet with her fiancé, Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid, and her 10-year-old daughter Coco. Coco’s father and Cox’s ex-husband David Arquette was also in attendance, walking the red carpet with his new wife, Christina McLarty.

Just Before I Go, written by David Flebotte, stars Seann William Scott as a guy who, feeling depressed about the current state of his life, heads back to his hometown with the intention of making amends. After reading Flebotte’s script, Cox was eager to take on the project.

“I seldom read something that makes me laugh out loud and makes me cry, and that’s what this film did for me,” Cox told Us Weekly. “I understood the characters — there are some ignorant characters, there are some enlightened characters — but what you learn is that we all have struggles and troubles. I just wanted to tell a story about real people and that’s what it was.”

Cox made Just Before I Go a family affair, including her fiancé, her daughter and her former husband in the project. McDaid wrote three songs for the film, while Coco sings the opening track and Arquette has a small role.
