Jennifer Aniston arrived at the 2015 Critics Choice Awards Thursday night in a plunging red suit that was a far cry from her typical little black dress look.

Aniston generally plays it safe on the red carpet with black ensembles – but not at the Critics Choice Awards. The actress, who was nominated for her work in Cake, stunned in a daring red suit by Gucci and matching heels. Aniston decided to forgo a bra and accessorize with a gold body chain. She wore her honey-colored tresses down and parted down the middle.

Fashion critics have praised Aniston – typically not known for her sartorial risks – for the unpredictable suit selection.

Aniston has earned rave reviews for her turn in Cake as a pain medication-addicted and depressed chronic pain sufferer. Though she received SAG, Golden Globe and Critics Choice nominations, the former Friends star was snubbed in the Oscar nominations.
