Jennie Garth's Diet Keeps Weight Off After Divorce From Peter Facinelli

Jennie Garth, now a mother of three, dropped 30 pounds — and kept it off — sticking to a routine of exercise and a healthy diet to be bikini-ready for her photo shoot.

Garth, 40, maintains her goal weight by keeping gluten-free and making sure she’s exercising just about every day. "Every day, I try to schedule something in, whether it's hiking with my dog or jogging or going to the gym," Garth told People. "Those are the things I'm focused on right now." While Garth certainly credits discipline for her trim figure, she admits that an occasional indulgence is par for the course.

Last year was a busy one for Garth. The Beverly Hills 90210 actress starred in her own CMT reality series called Jennie Garth: Little Bit Country, and split from her husband of 11 years, Twilight actor Peter Facinelli. After the divorce, Garth had to begin a new chapter in her life. "I really feel like that part of me was dead and I needed to shed it off," she said. "I got rid of the old and in with the new. A lot of exercising and a lot less eating…. I decided to start taking better care of myself."

Garth is currently dating Big Gigantic drummer Jeremy Salken and is filming TV movie Home Again, where she’ll be playing a workaholic whose jet-setting holiday plans get curtailed by a business trip to her hometown.
