Jenna Dewan Claims Ex-Channing Tatum Hid ‘Potential Billion-Dollar Asset’ In ‘Magic Mike’ Earnings During Divorce

Channing Tatum’s ex-wife, Jenna Dewan, claimed in a court filing that Tatum hid details of his earnings from the Magic Mike movies and insisted that she should get a cut of the earnings since they were still married when the franchise was created.

At a Los Angeles court hearing last Friday, Samantha Spector, Dewan’s attorney, explained that while Dewan had already received some money from Tatum, it is still unclear how assets ought to be divided between the two. She also claimed that Tatum had complete control over the business finances. Until this Magic Mike situation is addressed, it won’t be easy to divide other assets Spector argued.

“The Magic Mike intellectual property and all the proceeds thereon is the elephant in the room,” Spector said to Judge David Wasserman on Friday. “We have, for the last couple of years, been trying to meaningfully resolve this case, but every time we do, we get stuck on that issue with Magic Mike.”

“We are dealing with a potential billion-dollar asset,” she concluded.

Tatum is engaged to Zoë Kravitz, while Dewan is pregnant with her second child with Steve Kazee.

Because to Dewan’s impending due date, the judge said that Dewan and Tatum would be deposed by July 26. The two will also meet on May 15 to determine whether the Magic Mike proceeds will require another trial.

In 2019, Tatum filed a restraining order against a stalker who broke into his home and slept in his bed.
