Jen Arnold, 'The Little Couple' Wife, Has Been Diagnosed With Cancer
Jen Arnold, the matriarch of TLC’s The Little Couple family, announced on Friday that she is suffering from “a rare type of cancer.”
Jen Arnold Diagnosed With Cancer
Arnold, a neonatologist, 39, and her husband star in the TLC reality show The Little Couple, which has recently been chronicling their struggle to have children and adopt. Arnold and Klein both suffer from a form of dwarfism, as do their two children.
“I have recently been diagnosed with a rare type of cancer and am currently undergoing treatment, including surgery and chemotherapy,” Arnold announced.
The news of Arnold’s illness comes on the heels of the happy news that Arnold and her husband, Bill Klein, have adopted their second child, a daughter, Zoey, 2. They are also parents to their adopted son, Will, 3. Arnold says that the love of her family is helping her get through this difficult time:
“I am very fortunate as the prognosis is good. While there is never a good time to get news like this, getting it just as we are building our new family is tough in many ways… But being surrounded by the love of my husband and our two beautiful children is actually in many ways giving me the strength to fight it even stronger.”
Arnold has decided not to share more details on her diagnosis at this time, but she did address her fans and friends via her Twitter account, saying, “I am in the process of beating this!”
