In a recent Facebook post, Jelly Roll‘s wife, Bunnie Xo, said she felt like she was “living a nightmare” while battling severe health issues.
Bunnie said she started getting “really weird headaches” in March, which led her to see a neurologist and get an MRI.
“When I got these test results back, they said that they spotted an aneurysm on my carotid artery,” she wrote. The doctors then ordered a CT scan with contrast.
“Anybody that knows me knows that having an aneurysm is one of my biggest fears because my mom had one and it actually ruptured, but she lived,” Bunnie said, revealing that the scan showed a “two-millimeter aneurysm” in her brain.
“So the past four days, it literally felt like I kind of had a death sentence,” she continued. “You have to kind of come to grips with your own mortality, and that’s never a fun experience to go through, ever.”
Bunnie said she felt like she was “living a nightmare.” However, she later explained that her neurologist believes the suspicious scan showed an artifact, not an aneurysm, and is confident that a follow-up CT scan in six months will confirm this hunch.
“Praise Jesus that I got cleared,” Bunnie posted. Since her initial announcement, she has received an outpour of support from fans.
“Praying for you,” one commented.
“Always get a second opinion,” another said. “Praying for you Bunnie Xo.”
Bunnie’s health revelations come amid Jelly Roll‘s Beautifully Broken Tour, which began on July 8 and is expected to run through Nov. 23.
