Negan will in the upcoming season eight of The Walking Dead, according to the actor who plays his role.
Actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan confirmed on the Howard Stern Show that he is set to return in the new season.
The 50-year-old star said, “I know I will be on board for season 8. We’ve finished (season 7) a week ago.”
Morgan was also excited about his character’s story arc in the last two episodes of season 7. “The next two, I’m really big in. I’m heavy in those,” he said.
In The Walking Dead comics, Negan is a character who first shows up in issue No. 100 and sticks around as the primary antagonist for the survivors for dozens of issues — far longer than any other villain in the history of the book. The show may borrow elements from the comics, but there is no way of knowing if the two will follow the exact same narrative.
