Jeff Bezos & Lauren Sánchez Deny Rumored $600 Million Aspen Wedding Plans

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez have firmly denied reports that they plan to marry in Aspen during the weekend after Christmas.

Rumors surfaced earlier this week claiming that the Amazon founder, 60, and his fiancée, 55, had arranged an extravagant celebration in the Colorado ski town. According to the Daily Mail, sources suggested the couple would host a mountain-top ceremony on December 28, accompanied by a lavish reception at Kevin Costner’s Dunbar Ranch. The report also claimed that exclusive sushi restaurant Matsuhisa had been booked for the couple and their guests.

However, Bezos swiftly refuted the claims, taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday. “This whole thing is completely false—none of this is happening,” he posted. “Don’t believe everything you read. Lies can get around the world before the truth can even put its pants on.”

Sources also suggested that the couple’s wedding budget could reach $600 million. High-end Aspen wedding planners theorized that the festivities would include a western-themed welcome dinner, bespoke events throughout the weekend, and potentially a private ceremony at one of the area’s billionaire-owned mansions.

Lauren Sánchez hinted at wedding plans during a recent appearance on the Today Show, revealing she had already purchased her dress. However, she maintained that the couple was still considering details. “I have to say, I do have a Pinterest board, like every other bride,” Sánchez joked during the interview.

Wedding planners in Aspen have speculated that venues like Costner’s ranch, the Caribou Club, or private residences in exclusive neighborhoods like Red Mountain could host the event.

This latest round of rumors highlights the couple’s penchant for privacy. Since their engagement aboard Bezos’s $500 million super-yacht in May 2023, details about their nuptials have been closely guarded. Their engagement celebration in Positano, Italy, drew notable guests, including Bill Gates, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Kris Jenner, adding to the intrigue surrounding their eventual wedding plans.
