Jeanne Cooper, ‘Young & The Restless’ Star, Hospitalized In Critical Condition
Jeanne Cooper, the Young and the Restless actress, was hospitalized in critical condidtion in Los Angeles over the weekend. Cooper has starred as Katherine Chancellor on The Young and the Restless since 1973.
The soap star’s son, Psyche actor Corbin Bernsen, opted to forgo giving updates directly to the media, instead choosing to take to Twitter and Facebook to inform the public about the state of his 84-year-old mother’s health. On Sunday, Bernsen tweeted, “Back from hospital, not much change for mom but heading in the right direction. Embracing small steps and signs toward recovery. Wow!”
“I hope to share a story of the miraculous abilities of our mind and bodies and how people like all of you can come together for a common cause to affect change – in this case your prayers for my mom’s speedy recover – which as I’ve noted has already HELPED ENORMOUSLY,” he wrote on his Facebook page Monday.
"Mom is steady, bumps in the road but heading in the right direction though still without guarantees and the absolutes I long for," he added. "Such is life, literally! God Bless all of you for your continued thoughts and prayers. They are the fuel right now and we're tapping into every ounce of it."
Although Benson has yet to reveal many details regarding his mother’s health, Zap2it is reporting that Cooper is suffering from a “dangerous infection.”
