The pair met up with their castmates including Brendan Hunt, who plays Lasso’s sidekick Coach Beard, Brett Goldstein, who appears as the captain Roy Kent and Cristo Fernandez, who portrays the club’s striker Dani Rojas.

The sports comedy series’ first season was nominated for 20 Emmy Awards, the most nominations for a first-season comedy in Emmy history. Sudeikis, Waddingham and Goldstein all took home awards for their performances, and the show won the 2021 Emmy Award for Oustanding Comedy Series.

Last year, Ted Lasso tied its record, again earning 20 Emmy nominations.

In March, Sudeikis and the rest of the cast made an appearance at the White House, sitting down with President Joe Biden to raise awareness of mental health. In the series, Lasso suffers from panic attacks after bottling up trauma from a family tragedy when he was a teenager. He also is in the middle of a divorce from his wife and is separated from his son while he works in England.
