Jasmine Pilchard-Gosnell: Paul Walker's Girlfriend Collapsed After Learning Of His Death

Jasmine Pilchard-Gosnell, Paul Walker’s girlfriend of seven years, broke down upon hearing of his fatal crash as she waited for him to return from his joyride at the Reach Out Worldwide charity event.

Pilchard-Gosnell, 23, had been dating Walker since she was 16 and he was 33. She had recently become somewhat of a surrogate mother for his daughter Meadow Walker – who had recently moved in with them in California. Both she and Meadow were present at the charity event when Walker got into the Porsche Carrera GT with Roger Rodas.

Five minutes after Walker and Rodas took off, the sounds of the crash could be heard by those at the fundraiser, including Reach Out Worldwide engineer Jim Torp, whose son made his way over to scene of the accident.

“I got a phone call from [my son] and he said it didn’t look good, that from the looks Paul and Roger didn’t make it. Paul’s girlfriend was standing next to me when I got the phone call,” Torp told HollywoodLife.com. ”When I told her what happened she fell, she collapsed.”

“I believe [Jasmine] is the one who told Meadow about what happened, and when she found out she was hysterical and crying,” Torp added. “It was just so sad. I tried to do everything I could to help them. Paul’s girlfriend then took Meadow and drove her home. I don’t know if they drove to crash site. I just know they were in so much anguish.”

Pilchard-Gosnell Is Grieving With Family

Pilchard Gosnell, a college student from Santa Barbara, is heartbroken in the aftermath of Walker’s death and has been receiving the support of her family. “This is horrible news and unexpected. Her mother is with her and she is comforting her,” Pilchard-Gosnell’s uncle Barton Bruner told the Daily Mail.

“Paul was a really good guy and Jasmine is broken up by this. I went to Thanksgiving with him, played golf with him,” Bruner added. “They had their ups and downs but they were together and looking to spend a bright future together.”
