Janet Jackson Pregnant: Singer Expecting First Child At 49

Janet Jackson and her husband Wissam Al Mana are reportedly expecting their first child together.

Jackson, who will turn 50 next month, is pregnant with her first child, a source confirmed to Entertainment Tonight. Jackson has yet to respond to the report or make any comments on the purported pregnancy.

Though Jackson has remained tight-lipped, the pregnancy news should come as little surprise considering her explanation for postponing the second leg of her Unbreakable tour. Back in April, she stated that the tour would be put on hold indefinitely because she and Qatari businessman Al Mana, 41, were focusing on their family.

“We’re in the second leg of the tour and there actually has been a sudden change,” Jackson announced in a video message to fans. “I thought it was important that you would be the first to know my husband and I are planning our family, so I’m going to have to delay the tour. Please, if you can try to understand that it’s important that I do this now.”

Jackson added, “I have to rest up, doctor’s orders. But I have not forgotten about you. I will continue to tour as soon as I possibly can.”

Jackson and Al Mana have been married since 2012.
