Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri are reportedly dating again after splitting up eight years ago.
Jackson, 51, had a child earlier this year with husband Wissam Al Mana, but the pair split up just three months after Eissa was born. Jackson and Al Mana were married for five years and began divorce proceedings in May. Once their marriage was over, Dupri reached out to Jackson – she would not speak to him when she was with Al Mana.
The music producer, 45, and Jackson seem to be picking up where they left off. They dated for seven years back in the 2000s. “They are 100 perfect back together and in love,” a source tells Us Weekly. After Jackson wrapped the US leg of her State of the World tour on Dec. 17, Dupri joined her at the after party in Atlanta. The source shares: “They were cuddled up and holding hands.”
Dupri also recently complimented his ex’s tour. “I haven’t seen it, but I have seen a couple clips from the show. The tour looks good,” he said.
After their split in 2009, Jackson referred to Dupri as “one of my best friends… I love him to death. We’re still connected. We’re still good friends,” she said. “We’re there for one another. I think it will remain that way for the rest of my life.”
