Jane Seymour Poses For Playboy At 67, Talks #MeToo Experiences

In a new Playboy interview, Jane Seymour, 67, opened up about experiencing sexual harassment early in her career.

Seymour previously had posed for Playboy in the January 1987 issue and for the first time in 1973. This third time will mark her as one of the oldest models to pose for Playboy. Seymour said in the article, “There’s an enormous freedom in having lived as long as I have. Like my father used to say, I’m comfortable in my own skin.”

Like many women in the entertainment industry Seymour has had a #MeToo moment. In the article, she talked about being sexual harassed by a producer in 1972. She alleges that he put his hand high on her thigh and said, “I’ve persuaded everyone that you are the perfect person to play this role. It wasn’t easy. Now it’s your turn.” She was terrified, she crossed her legs and inched down the couch and eventually asked him to call her a cab. Seymour said, “He put me in a car and said, ‘If anyone knows you ever came here, if you ever tell anyone, ever, I’ll guarantee you never work again anywhere on the planet.’”

After that incident, she quit acting for a while, but she got back on her feet when an opportunity for a role came up. “Everyone will have challenges,” she said. “Your natural instinct is to close up your heart and let it eat you up. Do something to help someone else. It will heal you. You’ll be like a magnet when you do that. Light to firefly.”

Seymour currently stars in the TV series Let’s Get Physical. “I feel much sexier than I ever did when I was younger,” she said.
