James Gunn “Would Love To Work With Steven Tyler” On ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3’
Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn has responded to Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler‘s wish to be cast in Guardians Vol. 3.
JAMES GUNN RESPONDS TO STEVEN TYLER
In an interview by People, Tyler expressed interest in becoming part of the Marvel universe. “I would do anything to be in Guardians of the Galaxy 3,” Tyler said. “Are you listening James Gunn?”
Two days following, during a Facebook Q&A, Gunn gave his response. “He gave me a shout-out the other day in an interview. He said, ‘James Gunn are you listening?’ The answer is: Steven, yes I am listening. And I’m a big fan of Steven Tyler’s. I would have the pleasure of directing his daughter Liv [Tyler] in a movie [2010’s Super] in which she was fantastic, and I met him for a few seconds at a screening of that movie. He’s a cool guy. And, of course I would love to work with Steven Tyler sometime.”
Tyler starred in the just-released horror flick Happy Birthday, which sparked his interest in acting more. The singer had also appeared as a judge on a few seasons of American Idol. “It made me want to do more movies for sure,” Tyler said in the interview, which sparked his shoutout to Gunn.
Gunn even took to Twitter following his Q&A to make it official.
Keep an eye out for Tyler in the third installment of the Marvel franchise, if it comes to fruition, and if directed by Gunn. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters May 5, 2017. Watch the cast discuss the new film at Comic Con San Diego earlier this year.
