King Cobra, the long-awaited Justin Kelly film based on a true murder story, which was previously teased by actor James Franco, has its official trailer and a release date.

King Cobra relates a real-life drama about porn producer Bryan Kocis, who was found murdered and his home burned down for having signed an exclusive contract with the golden boy pornstar Brent Corrigan. Two aspiring producers, who wanted to buy out the contract, were arrested as Kocis’ murderers.

Based on this story, the film stars Christian Slater as Kocis, Garrett Clayton as pornstar Corrigan and James Franco and Keegan Allen as the murderers. After premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival 2016 in April, the film has been kept under wraps until now.

In this gossip-provoking trailer, juicy explicit images are accompanied by a kitsch pop soundtrack. It suggests erotic scenes as the characters are seen performing naked. The trailer reveals the film is due to be released in theaters on Oct. 21.

Back in 2015, Franco first teased the film with posts on social media, opening up about his sexuality for the curious. He once stated he was “gay in art and straight in life” and also confessed, during a recent interview with Vulture, to being “a little bit gay.” Mark your calendar.
