James Franco was roasted by Seth Rogen, Andy Samburg, Aziz Ansari, Sarah Silverman and more for Comedy Central, where the roasters also picked on each other.

The main targets on Franco’s back were his propensity to take roles playing gay characters, having his hand in every creative outlet imaginable and his horrifying job as Oscar host alongside Anne Hathaway a few years back. Jonah Hill’s weight fueled a few jokes as well, as did the amount of Jewish entertainers on the roasters' dais.

A sample of jokes at Franco’s expense:

Natasha Leggero: “James Franco, acting, teaching, directing, writing, producing, photography, soundtracks, editing — is there anything you can do?”

Silverman: “I don’t think James is gay or straight. It’s just that he literally can’t open his eyes enough to see who he’s f–king.”

Rogen: “Look at me doing all the talking while you sit there doing nothing. I feel like I’m cohosting the Oscars with you.”

Nick Kroll: “James Franco is truly our generation’s James Dean. So handsome that you forget he’s only been in two good movies. Dean, of course, died at the tender age of 24 sparing himself the embarrassment of writing self-indulgent short stories and getting roasted by a bunch of jealous Jew monsters."

Leggero: “Andy Samberg’s comedy group is called The Lonely Island, which is how each of his teeth feel.”

Jeff Ross: “Jonah almost couldn’t make it tonight because he had trouble finding a tuxedo that changes sizes every three hours."

Ansari: “So many gay jokes tonight about Franco. Apparently if you’re clean, well dressed and mildly cultured, you’re super gay now. Is that why the rest of you guys are so aggressively fat and dirty? You think if you read one book and take a shower, dicks are going to just fly into your face.”

Franco, who had never watched a Comedy Central roast and was relived to find that he wasn’t the only butt of the jokes, took the opportunity to poke fun at himself. “You say I sucked at the Oscars. I was a genius at the Oscars,” the 34-year-old actor said. “That was experimental tuxedo sleep art.“ He also joked that the roast was actually, “my greatest most elaborate art installation ever,” calling it “'Genius Unscathed'.”

Franco's roast will air on Comedy Central on Labor Day, Sept. 2.
