The Late Late Show host James Corden is the latest in several high-profile positive cases of Covid-19 in the wake of the more contagious Omicron variant emerging in December.
“I’m fully vaccinated, boosted and because of this am fortunate enough to say I feel completely fine,” Corden wrote, along with announcing that his CBS late-night show would be off the air for the next few days while he recovers.
In Los Angeles, where The Late Late Show films, 32,215 new Covid-19 cases were reported as of yesterday.
Covid-19 has been making the rounds in the late-night circles recently, with New York hosts Seth Meyers and Jimmy Fallon both recently announcing positive cases, both of which seemed to come with only mild symptoms given they were both fully vaccinated and boosted as well.
Meyers even felt well enough to wisecrack about his case on Twitter:
Seeing these hosts deal with mild cases publicly thanks to their vaccinations is encouraging to see, and demonstrates how helpful they are in combatting the worst of Covid-19.
