Get ready for not one, but two return trips to Pandora. James Cameron announced today that his next two movies will be Avatar 2 and Avatar 3, scheduled for tentative release in December 2014 and December 2015, according to the New York Times.
Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana have already signed on to reprise their roles as Jake and Neytiri in the sequels. Sigourney Weaver also expressed interest in being in the sequels during an interview in February. Cameron said he expects production to begin on the first sequel by next year. Neither sequel has a title yet.
