James Caan’s Cause of Death Revealed
Godfather star James Caan died July 6, 2022, at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles at the age of 82. He died of a heart attack and arterial diseases, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner.

The immediate cause of death was written as myocardial infarction, with the leading condition being coronary artery disease. Other factors that contributed to his death include chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and congestive heart failure.

His family shared the news of his passing via Twitter.
Caan was most famously known for playing Sonny Corleone in Francis Ford Coppola’s The Godfather. He also starred in Brian’s Song, Misery and Elf. He was set to star in Coppola’s next film, Megalopolis, before his death.
