Jaden Smith, who has made headlines for his gender non-conforming attire, has been tapped to be the face of Louis Vuitton’s new womenswear campaign.
Smith stars in Louis Vuitton’s new womenswear campaign, featuring prominently in a series of ads that were shot by esteemed photographer Bruce Weber. Nicolas Ghesquière, Louis Vuitton’s creative director, shared a couple of the ad images on Instagram of the After Earth star rocking an embellished skirt.
“Happy to introduce Jaden Smith @christiaingrey in the new SS16 @louisvuitton ad Campaign photographed by Bruce Weber,” Ghesquière captioned a picture of Smith.
Ghesquière also shared a picture of Smith posing with fellow models Sarah Brannon, Rianne Van Rompaey and Jean Campbell.
Earlier this year, Smith had dared to wear a color-block dress to prom with The Hunger Games star Amandla Stenberg. While Stenberg looked chic in a floor-length, metallic gown, Smith was her fashionable match in a monochrome dress over a pair of black skinny jeans and topped with a black blazer. He completed his look with white fingerless gloves and black sneakers.
“Can we talk about how cool it is that Jaden loves dressing androgynously,” Stenberg wrote on her Tumblr after sharing photos of herself with her prom date.
