Jack Nicholson’s Nepobaby Son, Ray, Sparks More Comparisons To His Lookalike Father In ‘Smile 2’

Jack Nicholson’s son, Ray, frightened fans as he grinned in his new film Smile 2, oddly resembling his father from The Shining. 

The Smile 2 actor is a mirror image of his father from the 1980 thriller in his new film. 

The scene of Jack breaking through a bathroom door with an ax in Stephen King’s famed film is forever ingrained into the minds of audiences – and now Ray is too. 

Ray, who plays Paul in the horror movie, takes on the character of the dead boyfriend of pop star Skye Riley, appearing in disturbing visions and flashbacks. 

At the movie’s premiere, Ray, 32, said that his 87-year-old father was his “inspiration.”

Additionally, the actor noted how he studied his father, using him as an influence within his career. 

“I ate dinner with him every night,” Ray said. “I studied it. That’s how I learned how to be a human being. Of course, we’re going to be kind of similar.”

He added, “As far as talking about [acting], if he ever did tell me something, I probably wouldn’t investigate it for myself because I’d be like, ‘You’re the best, of course, that’s right,’ and it might not work for me.”

While Smile 2 is far from being Ray’s first film, it could be his biggest. 

The movie just hit its $50 million milestone for worldwide sales. 

Father and son were seen together courtside at a Lakers game last year – the first time Jack has been seen in public in two years.
