After possibly hinting that he would be reprising his role as J. Jonah Jameson in the next Spider-Man reboot, the actor is set to join the DC super hero cast as Gotham’s police commissioner.
Commissioner Gordon’s role was previously filled by actors Gary Oldman in the last Batman trilogy, and more recently a younger version is being played by Ben McKenzie on Fox’s drama, Gotham.
The movie will be directed by Zack Snyder and the star-studded cast includes Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gabot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash and Ray Fisher as Cyborg.
The movie will be split into two parts with the first half being released on Nov 17, 2017 while the second half will hit theaters on June 14, 2019.
Warner Bros.’ upcoming DC film will be Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which hits theaters later this month.
