It appears Ivanka Trump‘s son Theodore Kushner will grow up in the White House, as Trump shared a photo of the baby sitting on her lap in a White House hallway.
While it is still unclear what role Ivanka will play in the Donald Trump administration, she has been involved in most conversations and conferences thus far. In addition, two weeks ago, Ivanka posted a video of son Theo crawling for the very first time on the White House carpet.
Her clothing and accessory brand “Ivanka” has already taken a hit since the move. High end department store Nordstrom dropped the line from its racks, and three other major outlets have actively been promoting the line less and less.
The president responded to these, by tweeting (from his personal and official Twitter accounts) that the stores have treated Ivanka “so unfairly.” He has taken the acts as personal offenses to his politics and his family, but the stores say otherwise. “We made this decision based on performance,” said a statement by Nordstrom. “Over the past year, and particularly in the last half of 2016, sales of the brand have steadily declined to the point where it didn’t make good business sense for us to continue with the line for now.”
