White House senior adviser and President Donald Trump‘s daughter, Ivanka Trump, shared a photo to Twitter showing her father, President Trump, smiling alongside past presidents on Mount Rushmore.
The picture is similar to one posted by the president himself in August, which was also when he denied a report by the New York Times claiming that the White House had reached out to South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R) about adding President Trump’s face to the monument.
Trump wrote that he never actually answered if he would like to have his face added to Mount Rushmore, but said, “Based on all of the many things accomplished during the first 3 1/2 years, perhaps more than any other Presidency, sounds like a good idea to me!” The president also later told The Hill when asked the same question, “If I answer that question, ‘Yes,’ I will end up with such bad publicity.”
Neither the president nor his family has given definitive support to the idea. However, with her recent post, captioned, “Amazing photo of @realDonaldTrump during his visit to Mount Rushmore on July 3, 2020,” it seems Ivanka might be in favor of the president joining the four presidents on the mountainside.
