Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner are back to gracing the social scene and attending their first red carpet appearance in a while.

The couple was in Miami on Thursday evening to attend the Louis Vuitton show. Their appearance at the show is the first time on a red carpet since they left their positions as part of Donald Trump‘s White House.

The duo was spotted mingling during the pre-show reception amd had seats in the front row. Celebrities like Kim Kardashian-West, Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Bella Hadid and others were also in attendance and were said to have given the couple a chilly reception. The show, coinciding with Art Basel, was high-profile because it was a few days after the death of Virgil Abloh, the designer and artistic director for the brand’s menswear collection.

The show, “Virgil Was Here,” was presented in “loving memory” of Abloh, and paid “tribute to the life and legacy of a creative genius” while also unveiling his designs for the Spring-Summer 2022 collection.

Kid Cudi, Offset and Quavo were among the models for the show.

On Twitter, users were disgruntled at the news of the couple attending the high-profile show.

“Louis Vuitton giving Ivanka and Jared front-row seats to a show commemorating the late Virgil Abloh is just too much,” tweeted The Daily Beast’s Marlow Stern.

The two have attended a Vuitton event before. Back in October 2019, Donald and Ivanka Trump flew to Texas for a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Bernard Arnault founder and chairman of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton.

Arnault told The New York Times, “I am not here to judge his types of politics. I have no political role. I am a business person. I try to tell him what I think for the success of the economy of the country, and the success of what we’re doing.”
